I picked up my DSLR camera for the first time in 2008 when I joined my high school newspaper. Throughout high school, I shot sports and photojournalism material events, attended workshops and conventions across the country, and won numerous awards for my photographs. In college, I continued my photojournalism career and served as the Assistant Photo Editor of The BG News at Bowling Green State University.
In the past, I’ve worked with individuals to capture special moments and milestones and in 2018 launched my business Katie Logsdon Creative. More recently, I niched down and started focusing my business to specialize in branding and boudoir. Confidence has always been very important to me and as a type two on the enneagram test, I strive to help others. My mission for Katie Logsdon Creative is to capture and create beautiful images of my clients to help them showcase their brand, embrace who they are, and gain more confidence in themselves. Whether you are booking a branding or boudoir session with me, the ultimate goal is the same: you are beautiful and truly unique.
What I Value
In photos, I strive to capture natural detail and textures. I like to accentuate contrast and vibrance, and love to capture fun patterns and bright colors. I work primarily with natural light in both indoor and outdoor settings. Whether you are scheduling a branding or boudoir session, you can anticipate receiving a strong gallery with many images to choose from that have been individually edited to best accentuate the photo’s focal point.
What To Expect
Prior to your shoot, I will gather information about the types of photos you are seeking and for what purpose they are being shot. Together we will build a plan for your session. Not comfortable in front of the camera? I love helping people adjust to having their photos taken including practice posing and silly shots to capture the perfect expressions. I love clients who are active during their photo shoots to give me feedback on poses that might feel forced or unnatural. Feel free to bring props that fit the type of photos you are seeking. Your session will be relaxed, but efficient, and I hope you leave feeling beautiful and radiant.
I live in Canton with my soon to be husband, Corey. By day, I work full-time in marketing for a home builder, which makes me feel like I actually work for HGTV. When I’m not working or running my creative business, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, teaching figure skating lessons, or pumping it up at my local barre studio. I am also a cat mom to a rescue cat named Diego.
